Provided design, installation & training support for the South Carolina’s mobile Emergency Communication Vehicle
(ECV). The fully self-contained 40' bus includes an integrated on-board digital PBX Telephone switch, GPS tracking,
video distribution system, a 10/100BaseT LAN/WAN and a multitude of radio (UHF, VHF, HF, HAM, 800Mhz, Aircraft,
Nautical, etc.) systems. Utilizing satellite, cellular (AMPS), and wireless radio technologies, the design provides the
capability to furnish local emergency voice, data and video communications. The $400k+ project was one of three
recognized programs for the Governors Award and was one of the first self-contained/self-sufficient mobile
emergency communication systems in the US with such diverse capability.

Dept. of Labor, Licensing and Regulation, SC Fire Academy, State of SC.
Provided the design and installation support to enhance the National Fire Academy’s training facility. The existing
facility was expanded to include the distribution of CATV system and the agency's onsite training/studio & campus
facilities. The enhancement also provided integration and connectivity capability to broadcast (distant learning)
training sessions via S/M and M/M fiber connection to a microwave site which could remotely be switched onto a
satellite network.

Initially provided field engineering support for the reconfiguration of SC's ETV statewide microwave broadcast
network. Primary duties included the redesign/reconfiguration of their 6Ghz multi-channel digital audio and analog
video broadcast system. The 30+ site reconfiguration ultimately provided Distance/Instructional Learning to many
state-supported learning institutions (e.g., K-l2, University, Hospitals) via microwave, fiber or satellite connectivity.
